I'll be fine. But stuff is still rocky on this end...

I know it's only been since Monday that I've been put in Youtube jail, but it feels MUCH, MUCH longer.

...Probably because my team and I have been working around the clock - literally - to figure out what our next move is.

...Probably because I can read the writing on the wall.

Here's what we know so far:

- Youtube wants to get rid of this niche.

Seriously, they've removed channels and most WFH content creators are in YT jail right along with me. I can't post on my main page until the 7 day ban is up.

- Which means it's too risky to post this content.

I'm not risking any of my channels. I still have my backup and new degrees & careers channel (I already have a warning on the degrees & careers channel). But it's become clear to me that there's no such thing as compliance for them. I made every change to comply with community guidelines (didn't list or mention pay, focused on the job, added disclaimers, discussed details about resources at the end) and it still wasn't enough.

So, here's where we go from here... at least for now...

1- I will post my daily hot leads videos and all job links directly to my website www.remoteworklife.co

The videos will combine both beginner-friendly and degree jobs.

As well, this will be the hub for all my content and any information about workshops, live trainings, etc.

I will continue to notify you via email when the new leads are uploaded daily.

2- I'll still be on Youtube.

But instead of WFH jobs, I will post daily resume customization videos starting on my new degrees & careers channel. For now, the focus of that channel will shift completely to customizing resumes and career info. I will have to speak somewhat coded over there because I don't want to tip off the robot to me being associated with WFH. Once I know YT is ok with that content, I'll take it over to my main channel that has a bigger reach. But I'm not risking losing that channel, so we'll start on the new on first.

Here's what that'll look like -

Example: I'll share 5 hot leads (video lives on my website). The YT video will be of me customizing my resume for one of those leads.

In this way, I still give you all value while being able to post on Youtube, so there will still be an incentive to tune in on Youtube. This will also allow people to still find me and get connected to valuable WFH info.

I'm still taking things day-by-day...

My goal with these changes is to continue providing this valuable content, but it has to make sense. Unfortunately, I'll have to explore other avenues if this new strategy doesn't work out.
